A typical Stoneley Woods Sporting day
A typical day starts at 9am with a hearty Yorkshire breakfast at The Royal Oak in Gillamoor. Having built up your strength, we will head out for your first two drives. Elevenses are provided in the field and followed by two further drives.
Your party will finish the day with a late lunch served back at The Royal Oak.

If you would like to stay the night before or after your shoot of combine your trip to Stoneley Woods with a weekend away we are happy to recommend the following establishments. What’s included in the day?Your day is based on teams of between 12-16 Guns and includes all clays and cartridges. You can expect fantastic hospitality, expert guidance and a lot of fun throughout the day. Caps and safety glasses can be provided and gun hire can be arranged where necessary.

What should I wear?Our simulated days take place in the countryside so suitable outdoor clothing and sturdy footwear are essential.

What if I don't have a full team?If you don’t have a full team, it is not a problem. We know that many people want to attend the day in smaller groups so we run regular syndicate days throughout the season for individuals and smaller groups of friends. These days are run in exactly the same as a full team day but with a mixed group instead. Drop our team a message with details of your party size and we'll be in touch to let you know when our next available date is.

What does a regular day cost?Our standard day starts at £350+VAT per person, This includes all clays and cartridges along with superb hospitality and a professional team to guide you through the day. A cap and safety glasses are also provided for each gun. We can also create bespoke packages. Please get in touch with us if there’s something you'd like to have included in your day.

Can I bring a team of mixed abilities?Yes. A team of mixed abilities is no problem at all. Our professional team will brief those new to shooting before setting out on the drives and will be with you throughout the day to ensure that everyone gets the most from their day in the field. To accommodate novice participants, Gun & Instructors can be included into your custom package, please call us for more information.
